Zombies on Television! Our Dreams Have Come True

Ok, I know Halloween is over, but that doesn't mean that we have to say goodbye to the undead. Movie-wise, that would makes sense but television-wise? TV is ripe for some zombie goodness. Here's some TV specials and shows you zombie fans canNOT miss
Community (NBC)
Most of you know about my love affair with the NBC sophomore comedy Community. I pretty much talk about it all the time...pretty much because I find it to be the best comedy on television (see how that works?). This show is becoming famous for it's hilarious parodies of beloved movies (and even video games) like Die Hard, Apollo 13, and even Secret Garden. For Halloween, the show took on what this whole article is about: zombies. I've seen a lot of Halloween specials, and this is the best one I have ever seen. Leave it to Community to parody a zombie movie with amazing finesse. There are actual zombies in this episode and it STILL makes sense...I can't explain it without giving it away, just watch it on hulu and you will see what I am talking about. Click here!! You will not be disappointed.
Trust me

The Walking Dead (AMC)
The British have taken on true zombie drama. Based on the hit comic book by Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead is the tale of the horrors of the zombie apocalypse. This is a legitimate show about zombies that slashes the comedy and brings on the horror. This is basically what zombie fans have been waiting for: a hybrid of movie storytelling and zombie survival themes that blend together perfectly for a weekly satisfaction of your new favorite show. Please check this out. Obviously, it is not for kids so keep them out of the room.   The Walking Dead has a simple plot: the world is overrun by zombies and a cop is struggling to survive with a ragtag group of survivors. What's beautiful about this movie is how it balances action with drama. There is action, but the characters are what resonate. What they think, feel, and how they react is captured perfectly for the audience, and it is an amazing performance by actors like Andrew Lincoln. I strongly recommend this show. It will offer something completely different for you like how Band of Brothers brought on WWII. Click here to watch the show!

Well that's all I got. Here's some free info though! Ever read World War Z? The movie is in preproduction (crossing fingers)
